As an experienced Military Social Worker, I seek to support the men and women of the armed forces, their family members, and veterans. The focus on returning to civilian life is a central component of the services I provide. Sometimes this can be especially difficult, particularly if the member of the armed forces has been injured in combat or has suffered emotional trauma or loss; living with grief and guilt. As one of the original Recovery Care Coordinators for the Department of Defense Warrior Care Program, having helped stand up the program and create the policy, I have extensive, first-hand experience in how to best assist you with the transition.
Other areas of the services I provide include: during deployment, working with spouses and children to cope with the stress of their loved one being gone for long periods of time assists not only the client, but also provides a peace of mind for the service member. Offering support to families after military members return from duty, helping each member of the family readjust to having their loved one home again, helping reacquaint spouses and children that have been separated for some time can save marriages and families.
The military prepared you to go to war. I will help you come home again.
